I travelled to the South of France several times by car from the UK in the 90s, to visit my son and his family who were living there at the time. We made a trip to Arles, and I sat in the entrance way sketching a figure reminiscent of one of those featured in Van Gogh’s paintings in that same spot all those years ago. He’s wearing attire similar to the familiar clothes and hat of Van Gogh himself…..not much had changed in all that time.
